Number Drummer at Barton Pond

Today at Barton Pond we had a special performance by Mr. Troy Kryzalka also known as the Number Drummer! We want to give special thanks to the Barton Pond PTA and the United Arts Council of Raleigh for making this happen. He showed us how to use math to create music. He also taught us about character strengths like kindness and perseverance. Mrs. Pakes, our art teacher, and I had a great time reminding students to follow LEAP expectations at this event with the fun chant and drum beat featured in the video seen below. The students and staff had an amazing time at this event and we hope that the Number Drummer will be back soon!
