On Saturday, April 29th, 2023 we had a delegation from Barton Pond attend the 2023 Wake County Elementary Honors Chorus event. Max Allen, Cara Hahn, Diem Martin, and Griffin Rhyne did an awesome job of representing our school at this concert. These students, along with their peers from across Wake County, performed "Cantar!" by Jay Althouse, "Bonse Aba" arranged by Victor C. Johnson, "I Sing Because I'm Happy" adapted by Rollo Dilworth, "The Crawdad Song" arranged by Cristi Cary Miller, and "Inscription of Hope" by Z. Randall Stroope. The clinician for the event was Sarah Kronenwetter, the choral teacher at South Garner High School. She did a phenomenal job of working with the elementary students in this ensemble. We are definitely looking forward to being a part of this event next year! Below you can see pictures of the students from Barton Pond who attended the event (from left to right-Max Allen, Griffin Rhyne, Cara Hahn, and Diem Martin).
