On Thursday, May 11th, 2023 at 6:30 p.m., the Barton Pond music department hosted its spring concert for the students, staff, and families of Barton Pond. The theme of the show was music from movies. The songs performed by our 2nd graders and chorus included "Bare Necessities", "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious", "Circle of Life", and "Under the Sea". There were also performances by the Barton Pond ukulele club and percussion ensemble. Our multi-talented principal, Stephanie Costa, performed "Let It Go" from the movie Frozen with Cara Hahn, a 5th grader at Barton Pond. Mrs. Costa also performed, "Colors of the Wind" with Ms. Sanders, our music teacher. We want to give special thanks to our accompanist, Danielle DeSwert Hahn, the Barton Pond PTA, all teacher volunteers, the Leesville High School Tri-M Music Honor Society, the Barton Pond office and custodial staff, Gusty Glow Films, and the family and friends of our bullfrogs.
